Searching for a high energy motivated people person to perform the following in support our local veterans.

Organize volunteers by category (interests, skills, availability) we have a list. Determine Volunteer staff positions (social media, exec assistance, trainers, support specialist) from other volunteer positions (events support, clean ups, outreach, etc) Delineate the requirements for each (skills needed, time commitment, etc). Organize non staff volunteer opportunities by date, needs (from number of volunteers to specific jobs to training)  List all events scheduled and potentially those we should be at (Events Manager and others offer input on this too)

Volunteer: Support Specialist - Veteran Intake Volunteer

Support Specialist

The Support Specialist’s role is to accomplish and complete Veteran/Family support through phone, email, or any other methods of communication with our clients. Tasks include data input and issue resolution.  Issue resolution is considered the primary task for the Support Specialist (SS) and includes specific steps such as In-Take of information, Coordination with Partners or Affiliates, Active Resolution, Tracking until Resolved, and Closing.

Qualifications: Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a field that supports the specific duties related to this work (e.g., counseling, psychology, family support), or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Google drive and programs.

Works as a leader in a fast passed developing nonprofit.  Self-motivated and creative Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications  Dedicated to serving the veteran community and our mission. Has 3-5 hours a week, a laptop and phone
