Volunteer: Trail workday – Occoquan Greenway Trail – May 23, 2026Volunteers are needed for a trail workday on Saturday, May 23 on Segment 3 of the Occoquan Greenway Trail. We’ll be working on a short trail reroute and installing a 16-ft wooden bridge over a stream channel. The purpose is to reroute the trail away from a consistently wet area onto higher ground for a better hiking and biking experience. The work location is off of Mohican Road in Lake Ridge. Meet at the location shown on the map. The nearest street address is: 11862 Mohican Rd, Woodbridge, VA 22192 (a private residence) The work will consist of opening the new trail route by raking, clipping branches, and removing downed branches. For the bridge, we’ll build the supporting frame, secure it in place, and install the treads.
