In Girl Scouts, girls are encouraged to explore new ideas, attempt new skills and discover more about themselves and others. As they discover more about the world around them and develop connections with others, they learn the ability to take action and facilitate change in their communities. They acquire self-esteem and confidence as they progress in their decision-making skills and leadership abilities. They learn how to give back to their communities and expand upon the opportunities available to them. The basis of all Girl Scout activities at all levels is built on the Girl Scout Promise and the Girl Scout Law.
