Who We Are

Our programs include:

  • Recently expanded 92-bed emergency shelter for families and individuals
  • The county's largest food distribution center serving over 800 families each month
  • Emergency assistance for utility, rent, water and gas payments
  • Access to free and reduced cost dental and specialty medical care
  • Access to free medications for the uninsured chronically ill
  • Early Head Start classroom serving eight children (plus 4 classes serving 32 children in the nearby Georgetown South neighborhood)
  • Home-based Early Head Start and Healthy Families programs serving over 200 families
  • Job skills and life skills training and support

What We Do

The mission of NVFS is to empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs. The SERVE campus provides assistance and services to poverty level individuals and families in Manassas, Manassas Park and the surrounding communities in western Prince William County.
