Greetings, Prince William:  You can help ensure fresh food is available to food-insecure families!  The SERVE campus of Northern Virginia Family Service needs volunteers age 18+ on Monday, June 30, 9am-2pm to help staff take a complete inventory of food and supplies in their 8,000 square foot warehouse in Manassas.  Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and should be prepared to do moderate lifting up to 35lbs.  This is a great one-time opportunity which will help SERVE improve its food assistance program to the nearly 600 households who visit each month for help!  Volunteers will also help identify urgent food needs for clients.  Please email Navara Cannon at ncannon@nvfs.org for more information.

·   If you're looking for a Saturday volunteer opportunity, here's a great one for you!  Manassas Farmer's Market is looking for volunteers age 16+ for their Saturday market, 9024 Prince William Street, Manassas 20110.  Shifts are available 6am-10am and 10am-2pm.  Volunteers will help with setting up and cleaning up of the market, counting visitors, taking photos and videos, distributing SNAP and MATCH tokens and answering general questions.  The markets operate rain or shine through November 22, 2025.  The whole family can help, and you'll have a great time meeting people, enjoying the fresh air and being around all that nutritious and tasty food!  Please visit https://bit.ly/44Ka6x4 to sign up, email rhane@historicmanassasinc.org to learn more.

·   Is your office/club/civic organization looking for a meaningful group volunteer opportunity? The SERVE campus of Northern Virginia Family Service may have just what you're looking for!  Opportunities include providing a meal for 65 shelter guests, assisting with the upcoming Hunger Resource Center inventory June 30, providing and planting a garden for an early childhood program, and much more!  Think how great you'll feel as you help feed the homeless, improve food assistance for 600 families or have children experience the joys of a garden!  For more information, please send an email to ncannon@nvfs.org.

·  Do you love guiding youth?  Prince William County Office of Youth Services is seeking dedicated volunteers age 21+ for their Right Step to Opportunity program, a diversion initiative designed to help youthful offenders avoid the juvenile justice system and build a brighter future.  Volunteer tasks include participating in Community Conference hearings with youth and their parent(s), helping determine appropriate sanctions and positive opportunities and support youth in making better choices.  Volunteers must complete training sessions and commit to at least three hearings per year.  Your guidance can make a difference and be the turning point in a young person's life!  Please visit https://bit.ly/4kFt3pc and click on the Respond button to sign up, email youthservices@pwcgov.org for more information.  This opportunity begins in July 2025.

·  The fun folks at Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center, 16198 Silver Lake Roadin Haymarket have started their Kayak Camps but volunteers age 18+ are needed to support the camps' remaining dates on June 14, July 12 and July 26!  A maximum of 10 students ages 9-18 will attend each session and volunteers will receive the required training.  You'll feel fabulous as you help special needs clients gain self-confidence, build self-esteem and allow this agency to meet their mission of "Changing Lives, One Hoofbeat at a Time!"  Please email volunteercoordinator@rainbowriding.org for more information, visit www.rainbowriding.org to learn more.
