Birthright relies on the dedication, time, and talents of volunteers. We welcome any and all individuals who share our philosophy and commitment to offering loving, confidential, non-judgmental support to those who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant. There are many volunteer opportunities available and we would gladly discuss our volunteer program with you. Full training and mentorship are provided for our volunteers so you can best help the women who need you!
We are currently looking for volunteers available to work during at least one of the following times once a week:
- Wednesday am shift 10am-1pm,
- Wednesday mid-shift 11am or 12pm - 2pm or 3pm
- Thursday afternoon shift 1pm - 4pm
- Friday am shift morning shift10am - 1pm,
- Second Saturday of the month shift 10am - 1pm
We also ask volunteers to work evening or weekend community events and to volunteer for our monthly baby showers on a Saturday afternoon. We look for committed in
Spanish or Afghanistan languages are a plus! But not required.
Some responsibilities would be:
- Answering the telephone
- Greeting and working with new clients
- Assisting a client with their monthly pick up of diapers/wipes/etc.
- Volunteering at a baby shower a few times a year
- Working Community Events
- Researching and supplying community resources
- Some light computer skills necessary
- Sorting baby clothes and keeping items organize
Note: Training will be on site during normal operating hours and permanent shift may not be assigned until training is complete.
